Concept design, planning and drafting

We listen to our clients yet encourage them to be brave with their choices so that the result is unique and reflects the client's needs, brand, and culture. Sofia Designs can deliver customised, innovative and clear design concepts that align with budget, time and vision.

Space planning

Whether refurbishment or new building, we work on creating clear and functional floor plans that meet all relevant Australian Standards and regulations. We thrive on finding creative solutions in this stage, leading to a design that fits the space constraints, budget and client requirements.

Interior visualisations and renders

In the fast-paced world of commercial space design and construction, detailed photorealistic 3D renders are sometimes not necessary for projects. Utilising screenshots or line-work 3D visuals of the model can quickly communicate the design intent to clients.

However, when clients request it, Sofia Designs can provide high-quality photorealistic 3D renders. This allows clients to see exactly what the potential interior will look like in terms of design, furniture, and colours. Working with the latest technology, we can efficiently create 3D images of concept designs with indicative furnishings and colour schemes to support the design process and proposals for commercial spaces.

Using finishes boards and moodboards in the design process

Creating a successful design involves a careful balance between creativity and communication. One of the most important aspects of this is ensuring that the designer and the client share the same vision for the final result. This is where mood and finish boards come in.

A mood board is a collection of images, textures, and colours that convey a design's overall feel and aesthetic. It establish the project'she tone and moot visually and is an essential part to ensure that everyone involved in the design process is on the same page.

On the other hand, a finishes board showcases the different materials, textures, and finishes that will be used in the final product. This can include everything from fabric swatches to paint samples to hardware options. Presenting all of these options in one place makes it easier for the client to visualise what the final product will look like and provide their input.

Commercial Interior Drafting and Documentation

The design and construction project documentation process is slightly different from the traditional architectural documentation process. Usually, timeframes are tight, and documents are needed as soon as possible. We work closely with commercial fitout companies and project managers to find out what exactly is required for each project.

Sofia Design can produce complete construction sets or just a few detailed pages, including FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) schedules and full design documentation for concept, tender and construction stages.
